Steven I. Shin is an Associate Attorney at Windsor Troy. His practice focuses on complex humanitarian immigration law. He has been practicing immigration law since 2005 and has a wide range of experience with cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of State.
Steven is an immigrant, himself to the United States.
He was born in South Korea and immigrated to Peru at the age of four and then to the United States when he was nine years old. It took Steven’s family several years to obtain legal permanent resident status in the United States and he eventually became a naturalized US Citizen after finishing Law School.
His own experience through the immigration system was the catalyst that inspired him to become an immigration attorney. His background gives him the capacity to relate directly with clients.
Steven has represented thousands of clients from an extensive range of immigration related cases from complex waivers, asylums, U visas, naturalization, VAWA, NACARA, TPS, SIJS, removal/deportation and detention, business and family immigration cases. He has had the opportunity to work with clients that have immigrated to the United States from all over the world.
