Ashley Moreno

Ashley was born and raised (and still resides) in Oak Cliff, Texas. She graduated high school at the top of her class, and went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Texas at Arlington where she was placed on the Dean’s List. She then attended Southern Methodist University where she obtained her Master’s degree in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management with a 4.0 GPA. It was during this time that she discovered law was her passion and she went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of North Texas at Dallas, where she was also placed on the Dean’s List and inducted into the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society.

Ashley joined the Matian firm in 2024 as an associate attorney. She began her career as an Assistant City Attorney with the City of Dallas in Texas, where she tried her first jury trial as a prosecutor. While there, she handled thousands of cases including a specialized family violence docket. She then joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office as an Assistant District Attorney, where she tried numerous jury trials. She ended her prosecutorial career as a chief prosecutor. She effortlessly gained a great rapport with prosecutors, judges, probation officers, bailiffs, and fellow defense attorneys with her one of a kind spirit. It’s the same spirit that leads her to be a strong and smart advocate on her cases.

When she’s not working, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband while raising her teenager and toddler.
