Jonathan Roper earned his Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice) from Temple University (2014) and Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston (2020). Jonathan also studied International Law in Italy and Chile. Jonathan’s research at the STCL Actual Innocence Clinic contributed to the successful U.S. Army petition for clemency for 110 soldiers wrongfully convicted after the Houston Riots of 1917.

Jonathan’s passion for criminal defense was sparked after a stint as a maximum security correctional officer. His first-hand experience with the criminal justice system convinced him to dedicate himself to ensuring a vigorous defense of all clients.
