Tanicia Shanell Daniels

Tanicia Shanell Daniels, Esq. received her Bachelor of Laws Degree with Distinction from the University of Guyana (UG) in 2012 and was awarded the Mckay and Moore Law Prize. While at UG, Ms. Daniels served as the Organizing Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Law Society which was responsible for coordinating social activities in the Law Department.

In 2014, she graduated with Honors from University of the West Indies, Hugh Wooding Law School, in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, with a Legal Education Certificate which enables her to practice law in the Commonwealth Caribbean.

After admission to the Guyanese Bar in 2014, Ms. Daniels worked with a well-known firm focusing on Criminal litigation and Domestic Relations Law. She served as an Executive Member of Guyana Bar Association for the year 2015 – 2016 and was a member of Guyana Women Lawyer’s Association. Ms. Daniels also taught a course in Criminal law and Common Law Reasoning and Research for the University of London’s Bachelor of Laws program.

She was admitted to the New York State bar in 2018 and has focused on family and employment-based immigration. Ms. Daniels is also admitted to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal. She joining La Liga Defensora in 2023, Ms. Daniels has been in the Legal Writing Department.
